For the best answers, search on this site NO! You do NOT need a WiFi connection (or even a wired connection) with your Wii to install the WAD manager. All you need is an internet-connected computer, an SD card reader w/ an SD card (4-8 GB's preferred) & fair amount of time on your hands. To MANUALLY INSTALL apps, you just download the app to your PC, unzip then & copy them to your SD card. Homebrew apps must reside in X: apps (replace X with the appropriate drive letter for you, if you're on a PC) for the Homebrew Channel.

Jun 18, 2009 - I've install it after I install homebrew channel but can't seem to find the wad manager in homebrew channel. How will I know if I have wad.

Before you install WAD Manager (or YAWMM), you'll need to have cIOS 249 installed. Which requires having a trucha-bugged IOS 36 OR cIOS 236 installed (for Wii Menu 4.3) first. For getting WiiWare titles installed via WADs, I'll only mention what needs to be done without venturing into pirate territory. First, if you haven't done so already, you'll need to trucha-bug the WiiWare IOS's & the Wii Menu IOS. WARNING: DANGEROUS ACTIONS AHEAD!

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ANTI-BRICK MEASURES IN PLACE (like BootMii/Boot 2 [BootMii/IOS may not be enough] and/OR Priiloader installed WITH a Wii NAND back-up made before proceeding) If you're running Wii Menu 4.3, this is IOS 80. Wii Menu 4.2, this is IOS 70. Wii Menu 4.1-4.0, this is IOS 60.

WiiWare commonly utilize IOS 53, 55 & 56, which will need to be trucha-bugged as well. Adding the trucha-bug to these IOS's will eliminate some issues, especially if you're going to store the titles on your SD card. After that, you just have to download the WAD files of the WiiWare & use your preferred WAD manager program to install them. WARNING: INSTALL WADS THAT ARE DESIGNED FOR YOUR WII REGION ONLY!
